Normal is a residential and commercial interior design studio based in NewYork and Los Angeles.We specialize in curating vintage and second-hand pieces, sourcing from global galleries and marketplaces, and collaborating with local artists to integrate their work into our projects.
Our approach starts from the inside out—developing close relationships withour clients to uncover the stories behind each piece and the emotions behindevery vision. We draw from many eras of design, mixing forms, textures, andmaterials to create spaces that reflect the client’s past and present, whilethoughtfully shaping their future.
Meet Lale Boz, Founder & Creative Director
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Lale's design journey took root in her family's fashion business, inspiring a passion that led her to Boston University and later to New York. Upon graduating, she forged a career in Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Consultation, contributing to the development and operations of the sustainable women's knitwear brand, Knitss.
Amid the pandemic, Lale launched Normal, documenting her interior design journey with her Brooklyn home and sharing her passion on a larger scale. This endeavor quickly transformed into Normal NYC, a thriving brand, interior design studio, and community with over 150K followers today.
Splitting her time between LA and NYC, Lale leads interior design projects andproduces Not-A-Normal Show, establishing herself as a prominent figure in thesecondhand marketplace and design industry.
She also holds a graduate degree from Columbia University in Strategic Communications and Sustainability Management.
