Normal is a full-service interior design & events company based in Los Angeles and New York, and founded in 2020 by Lale Boz. We seamlessly integrate residential design, estate sales expertise, and event production within the secondhand marketplace. All of our business services synergize, creating an ecosystem that reinforces our commitment to circularity.
Our mission focuses on sourcing vintage and secondhand items, collaborating with local artists and makers, while rejecting mass manufacturing and supporting sustainability. We aim to reshape the way people shop, sell, design, and empower connection in community.
Today, our community consists of over 100,000 consumers, designers and brands. Our events bring together thousands of shoppers, whether in New York, Los Angeles or somewhere in between.
About Lale Boz, Founder + Creative Director
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Lale’s design journey took root in her family's fashion business, inspiring a passion that led her to Boston University and later to New York. Upon graduating, she forged a career in Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Consultation, and helped launch the sustainable women's knitwear brand, Knitss.
Lale launched Normal in 2020, documenting and sharing her interior design journey with her Brooklyn home on a large scale. This endeavor quickly transformed into a thriving brand, interior design studio, and community with over 100K followers.
Today, Lale splits her time between LA and NYC, leading interior design projects, organizing large-scale estate sales, and producing highly-anticipated curated markets, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the secondhand marketplace industry.
